Making baby food

With this little guy in mind...I decided to make baby food. I wanted to plant my own garden so I knew exactly what he was eating, however, that time has gone and past and there is not a garden growing in our backyard. Next year I will try harder. I do plan on getting some fresh things from his Baba's garden.
Fresh green beans from the store...

Cut off the ends and anything else not wanted...

Steam them...

Put the steamed veggies in the food processor (note: green beans are the hardest to puree)

Add the excess water that has the minerals and nutrients from the steaming process...

Scoop into ice cube trays and freeze! Each is about one ounce of food. I took them out and put them in zip lock baggies, labeled them, and have about 40 servings of green beans and carrots (not documented) all for about $5!
